State of California has deemed ports and terminal operations as essential businesses and continue to operate. FMS is working under the guidelines set forth per the Governor and following guidelines put in place by the CDC.
FMS COVID-19 Contamination Prevention Initiatives Updated January 5, 2021
In the midst of current events, all of us working in the Port complex have a pivotal role in maintaining the flow of important cargo. Our cargo keeps the stores stocked with food, medicine, and critical supplies. Here is what Fenix Marine Services is doing to provide a safe working environment for us, for the good of our families and the American public at large:

In addition to the above procedures for disinfecting and restrictions, we are implementing the following policies for entry to our facility for ALL management employees, Security staff, Vendors, ILWU, Motor Carriers and visitors:
At all points of entrance to our facility, Security officers will perform screening protocols (which will also be displayed):
If the answer is “Yes” to any of these questions:
Along with asking the above questions, FMS Security guards have been trained and deemed qualified to operate infrared thermometers to check everyone’s temperature entering the facility. All guards checking temperatures have been trained to operate the ExTech Instruments Non-Contact Forehead Thermometer – Model No. IR200.
If anyone has a temperature at or above 100.4 degrees fahrenheit:
Should any individual refuse to answer the questions or have their temperature taken, they may not be admitted.
We have added additional ground markings, 6 feet apart on the sidewalks at both entrances to facilitate proper physical distancing.
